With reference to Colonial Office letter

No.30154/27 of the 12th instant regarding the

desire of a Hongkong firm to tender for the supply

of certain aeroplane material required by the

Canton Government, I am directed by Secretary Sir

Austen Chamberlain to state that provided the parts

to be supplied do not include armaments covered by

the schedule annexed to the Arms Export Prohibition

Order, he sees no objection to the proposed

transaction.
